Com. Joshua Loring marries Mary Curtis.

The son of Joshua Loring III of Lexington, he is a naval officer and “Gentleman privateer.” She is the daughter of Samuel Curtis, a wealthy landowner in Roxbury. They build a mansion on a 60-acre estate in Jamaica Plain in 1760.*
